Dear board members,
I’m writing to you about the trees that 13th Floor are removing. I talked with the main project mgmt. at 13th Floor yesterday, and he gave me an update about what they’re doing.
They’ll remove all the trees this month that are scheduled to be removed, and then they’ll start with the construction next month. They’ll start creating the lakes next month, and they’ll also fix the removal site where the trees were (if a lake won’t be there). He didn’t elaborate on how they’ll fix this, so we’ll have to see.
In addition, some of these trees are massive (and close to property lines), so it remains to be seen how large some of these holes will be. There are also mounds and drastically uneven areas.
There’s nothing about any of this on 13th Floor’s website, so I don’t know how they expect people to know this. I would suggest that we put a link on our website called “Development in The Woodlands,” or something like, and we can put info on there as it comes in.
Section presidents, please distribute all of this information to your residents. Please also remind them to be careful around these removal sites, etc., because it sounds like some of these holes will be substantial.
